Art from my last column; A.I.#73

I thought I'd add this one as well. It's art from my previous column in Advanced Iron #73. This piece was to fit an article that I was calling "Then and Now" in building up to the Iron Man movie this past summer. This shows how the suit looked in the 70s as well as how it looks today in the comics. The article goes into 'Then & Now' comparisons across many facets of the character's circumstances in the eras of his highest popularity. See issue #73 of the zine to see how it finally turned out with the column.

Art from my column in Advanced Iron #74

I'm posting the art piece from my article in the latest issue of Advanced Iron. I have a regular column called 'Iron Man In Action', and I use it as a forum to create and share some 'fun' art (as opposed to 'work' art). This illustration was part of celebration issue for Iron Man's coming out with a first big screen adaptation. I've been using comic boards for my art in the last few issues, to have that 'old school' feeling of creating comic art they way it is traditionally done. I'm a big Marvel fan, and have been following Iron Man and the Avengers since the mid-70s. I'm just now making time in my schedule to contribute to the art form, and having a lot of fun with it. I have big plans as well for future comics projects, so I'll keep posting as details unfold...

Advanced Iron #74 finally released!

It's Here!
The latest issue of Advanced Iron has finally landed. This issue celebrates the release of the Iron Man movie out this summer. My regular column follows this theme and invites readers to participate in a poll for the next big one, the #75th Anniversary special of the fan-zine. See artists from around NB celebrate Shell-head's big screen debut. Names from around the province, Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton; many that you will recognize from this very network. Of course, I have some artwork in there as well. Not to mention, that I actually built the cover for the issue; compiling a sequence of images from comic pages (various works of Adi Granov) to the real suit; all pulled together into one powerful 'celebratory' image. If you loved the movie, like so many did, have a look and see what the fans of Iron Man are saying! Hope you enjoy it.
